Why?
একটা সিনেমা, তৈরী করবেন জনগণ। যার ডায়ালগ হবে কবিদের প্রকাশিত কবিতার লাইন।
কেন?
'তা বিক্ষুব্ধ সময়ে মানুষ কি দুহাত তুলে মুজরো করবে নাকি?' ঋত্বিক ঘটক! আমার সময় আমি জানি না। এসময়ের বিক্ষোভ আমার গায়ে লাগে না। বড় জোড় আমি ফেসবুকে দুটো স্যাটাস দি। লাইক দি। আমার কিছু যায় আসে না রাষ্ট্রীয় সন্ত্রাস। corruption। সন্ত্রাসবাদ ঢুকে পড়ে আমার রাজ্যে। তাতে মদত দিচ্ছে কারা? রাজনীতি কি ভাবে ঢুকে পড়ছে শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে। ধর্মের নামে ভোট ব্যাঙ্ক। মানুষ মিছিল হাঁটে কিন্তু ভাবে কি? ‘ ভাবা প্র্যাকটিস করো।’ কিন্তু আমি তো ভাবি না। আমাকে কেউ ভাবায় না। আমাদের বোধবুদ্ধি বলে কিছু নেই। আমরা প্রতিবাদ মানে বুঝি মিছিলে হাঁটা স্লোগানে গলা মেলানো। জমায়েত। যতদিন ফেসবুকে হোম পেজে যতদিন একটা বিষয় ঘোরে ততদিন মেতে থাকি। আমি ভাবি না।
সিনেমা শুধু বিনোদন নয়, সিনেমা একটা আন্দোলন। তাই এই সিনেমা বানানোর ইচ্ছে, সবাই মিলে, সবাই প্রসেসটার মধ্যে দিয়ে যেতে যেতে ভাববে বিষয় গুলো নিয়ে। দর্শক হলে তো বড় জোড় দু ঘণ্টার মধ্যে আধ ঘণ্টা ভাবতো। তাই দর্শক নয় সাধারণ মানুষ হোক নির্মাতা। এই সময়ের দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে সাধারণ মানুষের আন্দোলন। শুধু মাধ্যমটা সিনেমা। আর কবিতা কেন? কবিতার পাঠক খুব কম। অথচ প্রতিবাদে কবিতাই হাতিয়ার হয়েছে বরাবর। সেই সব কবিদের ট্রিবিউট। যারা আমাদের বিশ্বাস করিয়েছেন pen is mightier than the sword।
কি ভাবে ?
গল্প - চিত্রনাট্য - সংলাপ – কারা অভিনয় করবেন- শট্গুলি থেকে বাছাই শট্- প্রাথমিক এডিটের পর সেটা থেকে ফাইনাল এডিট – সিনেমার স্ক্রিনিং সমস্তটাই হবে আপনাদের সামনে। ফেসবুক পেজে (https://www.facebook.com/Odes.poetry.film) পোস্ট করা হবে সমস্ত কিছু। সেখানে আপনারা আলোচনা করে ঠিক করবেন কোনটা থাকবে কোনটা বাদ যাবে। একজন পরিচালকের যা কাজ। শুধু পরিচালক কোন একজন নয়, আমার আপনার মত সমস্ত সাধারণ মানুষ। আর এই সিনেমার কাজ কি ভাবে এগোবে তার জন্য গ্রুপ এ আলোচনা হবে। উৎসাহিত হলে যোগ দিনঃ https://www.facebook.com/groups/crowd.making.film/
A cinema made by the crowd - The faceless crowd. We come together to identify with each other, to know about each others culture, to extend out our creativity, to relate to each other, to exchange our ideas, to understand what struggle each of us are going through, to become selfless and empathize and to participate in bringing about our story. How often have you been energized and inspired by a film and how long has it lasted? Not more than a few hours, isn't it? It is so because you have not been involved in the procedure like the makers of the film. But now is the chance. Here, you get to be the makers of cinema. You get to inspire and be inspired. Your participation is valuable to us. Technical or not, your views and opinions are important to us.
Why?
In times of turmoil, are the people only supposed to raise their arms and sway with the tide? At most I update a couple of status or ‘like’ a couple more. I do not care for state sponsored terror or corruption. Terrorism is infiltrating my state, who is aiding them? Why aren't women safe on the streets? I have a 3-course meal but I do not wonder about malnourished children. How is politics getting into our field of education/ campuses? Vote bank politics on the pretext of religion – why? People walk in the marches but do they really subscribe to the cause? I do not think, no one induces me too, either. Practice thinking. Our senses are numb as our intellect has slowed. Does protest really mean marching through streets and lip-syncing slogans? Till a matter circulates in the news feeds, we hype it, yet we do not think. This cinema is not just entertainment; it’s an expression of protest. That is the reason why we have decided is to make it together with everyone being a part of the creative process. The endeavor is to make everyone ‘think’, while the film making is still underway. An audience will pay attention for an hour at the most and so it is our wish to make the audience, the playwright. This is the protest of the people against the degeneration of our times. Only the medium is cinema. And why poets? Because lovers of poetry are becoming exceedingly rare. But these bards have come to aid of revolution since time immemorial, the people who made us believe that the pen, indeed, is mightier than the sword.
How?
The procedure, protocol, script, cast and everything will be decided by you, online. On reaching a point where we start taking shots, they will be uploaded on Google drive. The shots will be scrutinized and acutely judged by you. There will be further editing and subsequent uploading. In this way the whole film will be constructed. You don’t need to be a professional in the field to voice your opinion. You just have to relate.
